Zee seeks settlement with JioStar in broadcast rights dispute

Zee Entertainment is considering all options, including legal and out-of-court settlements, in its dispute with JioStar over a $1.5 billion cricket broadcast rights deal. The dispute, currently in the London Court of International Arbitration, stems from a terminated agreement where Zee was to sublicense TV rights from Star. Zee alleges breach of contract after Star claimed payment defaults. Zee expects a resolution by early next year and doesn't anticipate a significant negative impact from the proceedings, which involve the merged entities of Disney and Reliance.
