Golfer Yuzuki Okubo is tied for second place after the first round of the World Salonpas Cup, the first major of the season. Okubo, in her second year as a professional, shot a 2-under-par 70, using a unique "Chahan" chant to maintain her putting rhythm. She is two strokes behind leader Eri Fukuyama. The 22-year-old, who won the second-tier tour's money title last season, is making her major debut. She previously used "Chashumen" as a putting mantra but switched to "Chahan" on her sister's recommendation.
