Yes Studios Takes New Zealand Crime Drama 'Alibi' to MIPCOM

Israeli distributor Yes Studios will bring the New Zealand crime series "Alibi" to the MIPCOM market in Cannes this October. The seven-part show features 15-minute episodes telling the same story from multiple perspectives. Produced by Plus6Four Entertainment for broadcaster TVNZ, the series is set in fictional Awatahi, where teenager Jodie Hunter is found dead. Six suspects each present their alibi across separate episodes, viewable in any order, with the final episode revealing the truth. Created by Hannah Marshall, David de Lautour, and Gareth Williams, the show stars Madeleine Adams, Joel Tobeck, Xavier Horan, and Melanie Vallejo. Yes Studios sees potential for international adaptations and flexible scheduling across linear and digital platforms.
