Yes Studios brings New Zealand crime series "Alibi" to MIPCOM

New Zealand crime series "Alibi," a seven-part show with 15-minute episodes told from multiple perspectives, will be presented at MIPCOM by Israel's Yes Studios. The series follows the death of 17-year-old Jodie Hunter in the fictional town of Awatahi. Produced by Plus6Four Entertainment for broadcaster TVNZ, each of the first six episodes presents the alibi of a different suspect, viewable in any order. The seventh episode reveals the truth. The show was created by Hannah Marshall, David de Lautour, and Gareth Williams. Yes Studios, typically focused on in-house distribution, is expanding into third-party representation. The format's flexibility allows linear broadcasters to combine episodes, while digital platforms can offer non-linear viewing, with potential for local adaptations. MIPCOM runs October 12-15 in Cannes.
