Yellow weather warning issued for Northern Ireland following Storm Éowyn

A yellow weather warning for wind is in effect across Northern Ireland on Sunday, lasting from 10:00 to 19:00 GMT. Gusts of 40-60 mph are expected, following Storm Éowyn, which brought winds over 90 mph two days earlier. The Police Service for Northern Ireland advises caution while driving due to many impassable roads from fallen trees and debris. About 140,000 properties in Northern Ireland remain without electricity, with some residents facing outages for up to 10 days. In the Republic of Ireland, around 353,000 customers are still without power, down from a peak of 768,000. Train services are gradually reopening, with some routes resuming after extensive damage from the storm.
