World Bank pledges equal financing to Haryana over next five years as past 50 years
The World Bank will provide Haryana with financial assistance over the next five years equal to what it has given in the past 50 years. This includes support for education, air quality, and transport projects. New initiatives will focus on establishing a Global Artificial Intelligence Centre and achieving zero stubble burning by 2030. The World Bank will also fund a Clean Air Project with a total investment of Rs 3,647 crore. Discussions included the development of Regional Rapid Transit System projects and potential financing for water management initiatives. Haryana aims to improve irrigation through river interlinking projects, with plans for a study visit to Gujarat.
