Woolite detergent recalled due to bacterial contamination risk
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled Woolite laundry detergent due to concerns about bacterial contamination. The recall specifically affects the 50 fluid-ounce size sold on Amazon starting in January 2025. The bacteria poses a risk primarily to people with weakened immune systems, who may face serious infections. Those with healthy immune systems are not considered at risk. The bacteria can enter the body through injuries or the eyes. So far, there have been no reported injuries or incidents related to this contamination. The company is recalling the product as a precaution, following CPSC guidelines for a fast track recall.
