Woodfarm High pupils celebrate exam success and university places

Woodfarm High School in Thornliebank celebrated exam results day with pupils securing university places and outstanding achievements. Ben Mason, 18, earned 3As at Advanced Higher and an A at Higher, securing his place at Oxford University to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Ben, who gained 5As at Higher last year, plans to pursue a career in theatre after his degree, noting that most London theatre artistic directors attended Oxbridge. Twins Leon and Ruby McDonnell, both 16, achieved strong National 5 results while serving as Young Carers for their brother with complex additional support needs. Leon attained eight National 5 passes including six A grades, while Ruby achieved nine A grades from 10 passes. Ruby hopes to work in social work with children with additional support needs, while Leon credited their mutual support for keeping them focused during studies.
