Woman's legs amputated after being dragged on Marginal Tiete

A woman, Tainara Souza Santos, 31, who was run over and dragged on Marginal Tiete, had both legs amputated and is awaiting further surgery. She is hospitalized and will undergo a fourth surgery for grafts on the amputated areas. Her family fears she will be in shock upon learning about her injuries. The suspect, Douglas Alves da Silva, 26, was arrested. His passenger claims he intentionally hit Santos after an argument, while the defense denies he knew she was under the car.
