A woman who stowed away on a flight from New York to Paris was released on bond on Friday. Svetlana Dali, a Russian permanent U.S. resident, admitted to sneaking onto the flight just before Thanksgiving. Dali was sent back to the U.S. after her arrival in France, where she testified about alleged abuse and claimed she requested asylum. She also stated she was poisoned upon arrival in France. Dali bypassed security at John F. Kennedy International Airport by entering a crew lane and boarding a Delta flight without a ticket. She hid in a bathroom during most of the flight and faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
