Woman sentenced for luring victims to MS-13 gang

Keyli Gomez, a 23-year-old from Long Island, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for luring four young men to their deaths by the MS-13 gang. She testified against her co-conspirator, Leniz Escobar, who received a 50-year sentence. Gomez and Escobar, then teenagers, led the victims to a park in 2017 under false pretenses. Four of the five young men were killed, while one escaped. Gomez's cooperation with authorities was crucial in the case. Having served over seven years already, Gomez may face deportation to El Salvador upon release, where she could be at risk due to her testimony against MS-13.
