Woman plots uncle's murder for gold, finds only Rs 1.5 lakh cash; arrested in 3 hours

A 23-year-old woman allegedly orchestrated the murder of her uncle in Delhi's Rohini to steal gold worth Rs 80 lakh, but the gang only found Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and some jewellery. Police arrested her within three hours. The plot involved sending the aunt to a fair so the 60-year-old victim, Rakesh Khanna, would be alone. Simran Taneja, her boyfriend, and two accomplices smothered him to death and ransacked the house, but the gold was hidden so well it was never found. Police traced the suspects through mobile phone data and CCTV footage, and Simran's conflicting answers during questioning led to her arrest. Three of the four accused are in custody, while the boyfriend remains at large.
