Woman murdered in Torrijos, Toledo, in suspected gender-based violence case

A woman was murdered in Torrijos, Toledo, in a suspected case of gender-based violence. This incident brings the total number of women killed by partners or ex-partners this year to 42. The victim was not registered in the VioGén monitoring system. The government has condemned the act and reiterated calls for societal efforts to prevent further deaths, with over 1,300 women having died from gender-based violence since 2003.
