Woman found dead under bed in Jhansi; husband suspected in murder

A 27-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death in Jhansi, with police suspecting her husband, who fled after the incident. The victim was found unconscious under a bed and later pronounced dead at a hospital. Shivani, also known as Sudha, was discovered on Monday morning at a rented house in Sipri Bazar. A postmortem confirmed strangulation and facial injuries. Her family alleged husband Yash Thakur assaulted her over minor issues, and police had responded to a quarrel on Aug 31. The couple met on Instagram and married two years ago. Yash allegedly locked Shivani in the room before leaving, and an FIR has been registered. Police formed teams to trace him, with SP City Preeti Singh stating he would be arrested soon.
