Why I prefer PINs and patterns over fingerprint or Face ID for phone security

Using PINs and patterns over biometrics like fingerprint or Face ID is recommended due to privacy and security concerns. Biometric data is less protected legally than mental data, and AI advancements like deepfakes and sophisticated masks pose increasing threats to facial recognition systems. While PINs, passwords, and patterns have their own vulnerabilities, they offer greater control and are not as susceptible to coercion or advanced AI attacks as biometric methods.
