WHO members agree on pandemic response plan

WHO member states have agreed "in principle" on a plan to address future pandemics, following years of negotiations. The agreement aims to improve international collaboration before and during health crises, addressing shortcomings exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The United States, however, withdrew from the talks earlier this year. The World Health Organization has not yet issued an official comment on the accord. The agreement's details remain to be fully disclosed.
