Westmere Butchery wins 2024 Dunninghams Great New Zealand Sausage Competition

The Dunninghams Great New Zealand Sausage Competition has named its 2024 winner. A pork and leek sausage from Westmere Butchery in Auckland took the Supreme Award, beating over 800 entries. The judges praised its classic flavor combination and excellent texture. In addition to the Supreme Award, the People's Choice Award went to Mapari Meats for their Venison Chorizo. The Dunninghams Choice Award was won by Princes Street Butcher & Kitchen for their Traditional Pork sausage. Winners were announced across 16 categories, showcasing a variety of sausages and meat products from around New Zealand. Other notable winners included Peter Timbs Meats for Italian Meatballs and Four Square in Martinborough for their Beef and Triple Cheese sausage.
