West London restaurant fined over £22,000 for cockroach infestation
A west London restaurant, Harlington Tandoori, has been fined over £22,000 after inspectors found hundreds of cockroaches on the premises. The fines were issued following a customer complaint in September 2023 about a cockroach on their table. The restaurant and its manager, Joshua Money, admitted to seven food hygiene offences at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court. This follows a previous conviction in 2018 for a similar infestation, highlighting ongoing hygiene issues. Money received a hygiene prohibition order, barring him from managing a food business for 18 months. The restaurant was fined £19,891.75, including costs and surcharges.
