Wemfg recalls children's bike helmets sold on Amazon over safety concerns

A recall has been issued for Wemfg Children’s Multi-Purpose Bike Helmets sold on Amazon from April to July 2024. The helmets, priced between $26 and $32, do not meet safety standards and may fail to protect against head injuries. About 6,500 helmets are affected, specifically the size small, which fits head circumferences of 19-1/2 to 21-1/4 inches. They come in various color combinations and have a model number “MD-710-S” inside. Consumers are advised to stop using the helmets and contact Wemfg for a full refund. To receive a refund, they must destroy the helmet and provide proof to Wemfg via email.
