A Welsh man who dressed as the Grim Reaper and frightened patients and staff from a hospital roof was fined about $269, a court heard on July 15. Leon Gillespie, 26, spent about 50 minutes on Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital's roof on June 6, holding a scythe blade and making strange sounds. Police removed him, and he pleaded guilty to causing a nuisance on National Health Service premises. Gillespie claimed his costume resembled a plague doctor's bird-like mask, not the Grim Reaper. He also admitted two shoplifting charges and received about $336 in additional fines.
