Waris Punjab De claims only it can end Punjab's drug crisis

hindustantimes.com —

Manpreet Singh Ayali of Akali Dal Waris Punjab De claimed on Saturday that only his party can eradicate the drug menace in Punjab, asserting that no other government has succeeded in doing so. Ayali criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government's anti-drug campaign 'Yudh Nashian Virudh' as a complete failure, stating the problem has worsened under its watch. He also dismissed the BJP's 'Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra' as a flop and accused the Centre of failing to control cross-border smuggling. At the party event, Punjabi lyricist Gurwinder Singh Gill joined Akali Dal Waris Punjab De, and the party inaugurated its regional office in Mohali. Working president Tarsem Singh said the Sikh community views the party with renewed hope.
