Wahl-O-Mat goes online for Saxony-Anhalt state election

The Wahl-O-Mat voting advice tool went online Thursday to help voters prepare for the Saxony-Anhalt state election, allowing comparisons of their preferences with party positions. The tool presents 38 theses on current political issues. It includes election programs of all 15 parties approved for the ballot, according to the state political education center, though state statisticians count 16 participating parties. The tool is informational only and gives no voting recommendation. Around 500,000 calls were registered before the 2021 state election; it has existed in Saxony-Anhalt since 2006.
