Volunteers cleaned River Canard, celebrating ten years

Volunteers celebrated the 10th anniversary of the River Canard cleanup on Saturday, removing debris from the popular waterway. Paddlers launched from the River Canard Canoe Outpost, collecting trash like bottles, tires, and signs along the 12-kilometer stretch. The cleanup, organized by the River Canard Canoe Company, provides free canoes to access the river's edge. The annual event, which began to address litter, has grown into a day-long celebration, promoting environmental stewardship and offering a "Green Canoe Program" for ongoing cleanup efforts.
