Volkswagen Golf GTI sold out in India pre-launch

The first batch of 150 pre-booked Volkswagen Golf GTI hatchbacks in India sold out before the price was even announced. The units were allocated through an online quiz. Pre-bookings for the high-performance Golf GTI opened on May 5, 2025, with deliveries expected to begin in June. The car boasts a 2.0-litre turbo engine, accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds. The Golf GTI is expected to cost around Rs 60 lakh and features a sporty interior with a 12.9-inch touchscreen. It offers four paint options and aggressive styling elements.
