Vilafamés to Host Medieval History Event on October 10-11

Vilafamés will host the II Trobada Internacional d’Ordes Militars on October 10-11, transforming the town into a medieval historical recreation venue focused on rigorous education rather than a typical market. The event features historical reenactment groups from various territories, including AUR-ART, Medievalis, and the Teutonic Knights of Lithuania, showcasing authentic clothing, weapons, crafts, and combat. Activities include workshops, demonstrations, and conferences on local history, such as the municipality's link to the Order of Montesa. The program is part of a broader schedule starting October 8 with a theatrical night, and includes falconry shows, children's activities, and a book presentation, aiming to connect contemporary culture with heritage through participatory historical learning.
