Vidisha workshop taught girls self-defense, self-reliance

A two-day workshop in Vidisha concluded, empowering over 70 girls with self-defense and self-reliance skills. The workshop focused on crucial topics like healthy relationships and responsible mobile phone usage. The "Smart Girls Workshop" included sessions on self-respect, friendship, and making informed decisions, emphasizing the importance of family consultation. Parents also participated on the second day, learning about open communication and menstrual hygiene. The event, organized by the Indian Jain Organization, is part of a larger initiative that has trained 10 lakh girls aged 14-24. The training, held May 9th and 10th, was led by trainers from Pune.
