Video shows North Korean soldiers training at Russian base for potential deployment to Ukraine
Ukraine has released a video showing North Korean soldiers at a Russian military training base. The footage reportedly depicts the troops being outfitted in Russian gear at the Sergievsky training ground, suggesting preparations for deployment to Ukraine. South Korea's intelligence agency claims that thousands of North Korean troops are set to join Russian forces. It reports that around 1,500 special forces troops are already in Russia, with plans for 10,000 more to be sent to occupied areas in Ukraine. NATO and U.S. officials have not confirmed the reports of North Korean soldiers actively participating in the conflict. However, they acknowledge that increased cooperation between Russia and North Korea could be occurring.
