Vidarbha initiates Water Awareness Week starting March 16

Vidarbha will hold Water Awareness Week from March 16 to 22, led by the Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation. The initiative aims to promote responsible water use and conservation through public engagement and education. During a preparatory meeting, officials discussed the importance of changing public behavior alongside technology. They emphasized rooftop water harvesting, involvement of schools, and high-tech agricultural methods to improve water efficiency. The campaign will address water pollution, encourage tree planting, and promote sustainable management in urban and rural areas. Collaboration with NGOs and educational institutions is planned to enhance water literacy and conservation efforts.
