Vertical GPU mounts often trap heat, causing graphics cards to overheat and reduce performance due to proximity to tempered glass panels. This setup creates an aerodynamic bottleneck, preventing fans from drawing sufficient air, leading to thermal throttling and lower frame rates. Exceptions exist for liquid-cooled systems or with specialized recessed mounts, but standard vertical mounting typically compromises cooling.
