Vertical acquires neo-noir film 'The Long Game' starring Kathleen Turner for 2025 release

Vertical has acquired the North American rights to the neo-noir film "The Long Game," starring Kathleen Turner. The film, based on a short story by Janet Fitch, is set for release in theaters and on demand in 2025. This marks the directorial debut of Jace Anderson, who co-wrote the script with Adam Gierasch. The cast includes Jackie Earle Haley and newcomer Sekai Abenì, who plays a young woman caught in a dangerous con involving a reclusive former starlet, portrayed by Turner. The film premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival and is produced by A Bigger Boat Productions and Black Bramford Films. Vertical's acquisition aims to bring a modern twist to classic film noir themes.
