Venezuelan man murdered partner, falsely claimed suicide

A man in Carabobo, Venezuela, was arrested for the femicide of his partner after attempting to falsely portray her death as a suicide. Jesus Omar Jimenez Castillo, 46, was apprehended by the CICPC after investigations revealed he murdered Kahirelys Kharolina Duarte Salazar, 20. He initially claimed she had taken her own life, but an autopsy confirmed she died from blunt force trauma and strangulation. The arrest followed forensic evidence contradicting his account, which indicated the victim suffered from prior abuse. The suspect is now in custody and facing charges related to the femicide.
