Vande Bharat sleeper train prototype ready for field trials ahead of launch

Indian Railways is preparing to launch the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, aimed at improving long-distance travel comfort. The first prototype has been built and will soon undergo field trials, with the launch timeline dependent on their success. This new sleeper train will be the third variant in the Vande Bharat series, following the Express and Metro versions. It will feature modern amenities, safety upgrades, and separate berths for train attendants. Ticket prices for the Vande Bharat Sleeper will be similar to Rajdhani fares, targeting middle-class families. Passengers can choose from three accommodation options: AC 3 Tier, AC 2 Tier, and AC First Class, with prices ranging from approximately Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000.
