Van Eerd family's Jumbo buys full ownership of HEMA

The Van Eerd family, owners of Jumbo supermarkets, will fully acquire HEMA. Mississippi Ventures, their investment vehicle, is buying the remaining 50% stake. This acquisition follows Mississippi Ventures' purchase of the other half of HEMA five years ago. The family is reportedly very pleased with HEMA's performance. HEMA and Jumbo will continue to operate independently. The deal requires approval from the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets and the HEMA works council.
