Valve has purchased the rights to the popular fan-made Counter-Strike map "Cache" for use in Counter-Strike 2. The acquisition was confirmed by the map's co-creator, Shawn "FMPONE" Snelling, on X. Snelling revealed Valve reached out to buy "Cache" immediately after Counter-Strike 2's release in March. He expressed gratitude to the original creator and the Counter-Strike community. "Cache" was a staple in the competitive scene from 2014 to 2019. Valve now also owns the rights to the map's artwork.
