Valmarecchia launches 'Casa Unione' to house families in crisis

The Union of Municipalities of Valmarecchia has launched 'Casa Unione', a project allocating over 24,000 euros from the local social fund to provide temporary housing and support for up to 20 families in difficulty by year's end. The initiative targets the most fragile cases, including evictions, sudden loss of housing, and families lacking sufficient guarantees. It provides temporary accommodations, apartment searches, mediation with landlords, and guarantee tools such as sureties, with social workers guiding beneficiaries toward stable solutions in coordination with local housing offices, Acer, the third sector, and Ausl Romagna. 'Casa Unione' complements the existing 'Patto per la casa' project, which focuses on middle-income families through subsidized rents and public guarantees. In contrast, 'Casa Unione' intervenes when emergencies have already occurred, serving as a protective parachute to prevent marginalization and restore stability for citizens and their children.
