Vacant GM and TM posts stall salaries for 600 Ballabhgarh bus depot staff

The Ballabhgarh bus depot in Faridabad is facing a crisis as the General Manager (GM) and Traffic Manager (TM) posts remain vacant, leaving the salaries of approximately 600 employees for July unpaid. The union has warned of a strike if the issue is not resolved soon. The Haryana State Joint Front Union sent a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday demanding the immediate appointment of a GM. The lack of officers has stalled administrative and financial work, including diesel procurement, forcing the depot to borrow funds from other depots and leaving only a week's fuel supply. The vacant posts have also prevented the renewal of the MCD monthly pass for buses, causing extra costs and potential daily losses of up to two lakh rupees. Employees report significant financial hardship due to the delayed wages.
