Uttar Pradesh will modernize public, private bus stands

The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a new policy to modernize bus stands and tourist bus parks, aiming to improve traveler facilities. The "UP Stage Carriage Bus Stand Policy, 2025" mandates amenities like rest areas, accessible restrooms, 24/7 canteens, and public address systems in both public and private bus stands. CCTV surveillance, fire safety, and backup power are also required. The policy also emphasizes hygiene and security, including clean drinking water, ticket counters, and security personnel, to create a more comfortable and safe environment for travelers.
