Uttar Pradesh will enhance India's textile export efforts
Uttar Pradesh is poised to play a key role in India's goal of reaching textile exports worth Rs 9 lakh crore by 2030. The state is recognized for its rich textile heritage and skilled workforce, particularly in cities like Kanpur, Varanasi, and Lucknow. The state government has launched initiatives to boost textile manufacturing and artisans' skills. This includes establishing Common Facility Centres and a Mega Textile Park along the Lucknow-Hardoi border, aimed at enhancing local industries. Additionally, new apparel and garment parks are being developed near Jewar Airport and in the Purvanchal region. The Central government has also introduced a Cotton Mission and allocated funds to support the textile sector.
