Uttar Pradesh improves bus stands with passenger amenities

Uttar Pradesh is implementing a new policy mandating significant infrastructural improvements for bus stands and tourist bus parks across the state. This aims to enhance passenger convenience. The policy requires 30% of each bus stand's area to be dedicated to essential amenities like rest areas, accessible restrooms, and clean drinking water. Round-the-clock canteen services and accurate bus information displays are also mandated. The initiative also includes installing CCTV surveillance, fire safety measures, and backup generators, alongside improved ticketing facilities, to modernize and improve the overall travel experience.
