Uttar Pradesh government uses GPS to track foodgrain transport

Uttar Pradesh is mandating GPS tracking for all foodgrain transport vehicles to prevent theft and diversion. Over 5,000 vehicles are now equipped with GPS devices, enabling real-time monitoring of foodgrain movement from FCI depots to fair price shops. This initiative aims to increase transparency in the supply chain and ensure commodities reach beneficiaries without tampering.
