USMNT announces 2025 schedule with friendlies and key tournaments
The U.S. men's national soccer team (USMNT) will start 2025 with two friendly matches against Venezuela and Costa Rica in January. This marks the first time the January camp will conclude with two games instead of one, allowing for more player evaluation. In March, the USMNT will compete in the CONCACAF Nations League semifinals against Panama. They aim to defend their title, having won the tournament in previous years. A victory would lead them to the final against either Canada or Mexico. The 2025 Gold Cup will take place from June 16 to July 6, providing the USMNT with a final competitive opportunity before the 2026 World Cup. The tournament will be held mainly west of the Mississippi River to accommodate the concurrent Club World Cup.
