USATF to integrate U.S. Paralympics track and field program starting January 1

USA Track and Field (USATF) will take over the U.S. Paralympics Track & Field program starting January 1. This change aims to provide Paralympic athletes with the same support and resources as their Olympic counterparts. The merger follows a successful performance at the Paris Games, where U.S. track and field athletes won 34 medals, including 14 golds, while Paralympians earned 38 medals, with 10 golds. USATF becomes the 17th national governing body to integrate its Paralympic program. Leaders from both organizations expressed optimism about the benefits of this unified approach for athletes.
