U.S. Space Operations Command prepares to launch new space tracking software by 2025

U.S. Space Operations Command is preparing to deliver the Advanced Tracking and Launch Analysis System (ATLAS) by early 2025. This software will enhance command-and-control capabilities, allowing operators to have a unified view of space activities. The transition from the outdated Space Defense Operations Center to ATLAS has faced delays due to software integration issues. L3Harris has completed 95% of the software and is focused on final testing and user training. Space Operations Command is also developing applications for space domain awareness to integrate with ATLAS. These tools aim to improve tracking of potential threats in orbit and enhance operational safety.
