US reports say drone with explosives near Ukrainian planes at Leipzig came from Russia

An explosive-laden drone found near Ukrainian transport planes at Leipzig/Halle airport likely came from Russia, according to US intelligence reports cited by US media. The drone, equipped with explosives and a detonator, was discovered near Ukrainian aircraft and brought down by an employee; a landing plane then possibly struck a second drone. Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt called it a hybrid attack by "foreign powers." Russia's embassy dismissed the incident as a Ukrainian provocation, while one expert said a false-flag operation was possible. Police have since installed drone-detection radar at the airport.
