US may not help Europe if Russia attacks

Mike Martin MP emphasized the need for Europe to strengthen its own security without relying on US military support. He called for rapid collaboration among European nations. The memo suggests that Europe must invest in its defense to prevent future threats from Russia. This investment would help ensure NATO can effectively respond, even if the US is preoccupied with conflicts elsewhere. Tobias Ellwood, a former Defence Committee chair, warned that the memo might embolden Russia to further its ambitions in Europe.
