U.S. blacklists Indian shipping firm for allegedly transporting Iranian oil to China

The U.S. has blacklisted Indian shipping company Marshal Ship Management and its director, Ryan Xavier Aranha, for allegedly helping transport Iranian crude oil to China. This action is part of efforts to limit Iran's military funding. The company is accused of providing crew members to vessels linked to Sepehr Energy, which is said to facilitate oil shipments benefiting Iran's military. Crew members allegedly falsified shipping documents to hide the oil's origin. As a result of the sanctions, any U.S. assets owned by Aranha or the company will be frozen. U.S. citizens are barred from doing business with them, and violations may lead to penalties.
