Ursa Major upgrades Draper rocket engine for hypersonic flight

Ursa Major received a $34.9 million contract to upgrade its Draper rocket engine for hypersonic defense and in-space propulsion. The Draper engine, designed for rapid response and maneuverability, will be developed and deployed for national security applications, validating its performance for emerging threats. This contract follows a previous $28.6 million award from the U.S. Air Force to demonstrate the engine's use in hypersonic applications by year-end.
