Upcoming film "Sky Force" highlights the heroics of Indian pilot Devayya from the 1965 war

The upcoming film "Sky Force," set to release on January 24, 2025, tells the story of Squadron Leader Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, a celebrated Indian Air Force pilot from the 1965 Indo-Pak War. The film stars debutant Veer Pahariya as Devayya. Devayya is known for his daring mission against a Pakistani F-104 Starfighter, where he achieved a significant victory despite sustaining critical damage to his aircraft. He was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra in 1988, becoming the only Indian Air Force officer to receive this honor after death. Veer Pahariya prepared for the role by studying the war and meeting Devayya's family. His performance in the film's trailer has been praised for capturing the spirit and bravery of the legendary pilot.
