UP police monitor social media after India-Pakistan agreement

Following a non-aggression agreement between India and Pakistan, Uttar Pradesh police are closely monitoring social media activity. Authorities are taking action against those attempting to incite social unrest. IG Kalinidhi Naithani stated that police are vigilant across Uttar Pradesh, particularly in western regions. He confirmed that individuals spreading discord in Meerut and Baghpat have been jailed. Mock drills were successful, and guidelines are being followed. The alert comes amid heightened sensitivity regarding tensions between India and Pakistan. IG Naithani also visited the Augarnath Temple in Meerut to honor freedom fighters on the occasion of Kranti Diwas.
