Unidentified drone explodes near Trans-Balkan gas pipeline on Bulgaria-Romania border

pravda.com.ua (Russian)

An unidentified drone exploded in Bulgaria near the Romanian border on August 8, close to the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline, causing no casualties or damage. Prime Minister Rumen Radev said the drone entered Bulgarian airspace from Romania and detonated one kilometer from a pipeline compressor station. Authorities failed to detect it in flight, and an investigation into its origin has been launched. The incident follows recent Romanian interceptions of Russian Shahed drones, including one that struck a Galati apartment building in May during attacks targeting Ukrainian ports.
